Go back in time and meet Louis Roque, the distillery founder, where it all started in 1905...

Proud of his roots and his heritage, Louis Roque is above all else an enthusiast. The Sarlat hills and the Dordogne River banks are a tremendous source of inspiration.

Thanks to his sharp creativity, Louis decided to represent his homeland throughout his local products to create original and unique plum brandies, liqueurs and digestifs, including the Dordogne walnut.

But it was without counting on his creative spirit that Louis knew success thanks to La Vieille Prune, a mixed plum brandy which definitely associates her name with the French gastronomy.

Nowadays, Philippe Denoix proudly runs the distillery. He is the fifth generation to take care of this massive heritage. At the Distillerie Louis Roque, we have chosen to keep our ancestral manufacturing techniques.

Inside the warm ambience of the museum, you will be able to see the stills, presses, filters and pots. You will feel and absorb the silence and history of the "chais" where the brandies are refined and matured slowly in old oak barrels. You will see the staff fill, cork, wax and manually label bottles in the traditional way.

If you are looking for the finest beverage to drink with some friends after diner or if you want a special mustard to cook with your meat, you can find all of these products in our distillery.

For the greedies, you can find some fruits and jams with liqueurs, chocolate boxes, oils, mustards and chutneys.
